Getting Started

Tap the + button on the map or list screen, then search for a chain by name. Once you find it, tap "Add to Favorites." The chain will appear on your map the next time you search.
FavsAround automatically searches near your current location when you open the app. Make sure location access is enabled. You can also adjust the search radius (100m–2km) using the radius slider on the map screen.
When adding or editing a favorite, you can assign a category (e.g., Fast Food, Cafes, Supermarkets) and add hashtags like #breakfast or #wifi. Use the filter button on the map or list to show only the chains matching a specific category or hashtag.
Yes! Tap the toggle button in the top-right corner of the main screen to switch between the interactive map view and the list view sorted by distance from your current location.

Premium Upgrade

Premium unlocks unlimited favorite chains (the free version is limited to 5), plus iCloud sync to keep your favorites in sync across all your Apple devices. It's a one-time purchase — no subscription required.
Open FavsAround, go to Settings → Premium, and tap "Restore Purchase." Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Your premium access will be restored at no charge.
No. Premium is a one-time in-app purchase through the App Store. Pay once and keep unlimited favorites forever, with no recurring charges.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled directly by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to submit a refund request. If you're having trouble with the premium features, please contact us first — we'll do our best to help.

iCloud Sync

iCloud sync is available with the premium upgrade. Once you have premium, go to Settings → iCloud Sync and toggle it on. Make sure iCloud is enabled on your device in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud.
Try these steps: (1) Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID on all devices. (2) Check that iCloud Drive is enabled in your device settings. (3) Open the app on each device and wait a few minutes. (4) If the issue persists, sign out and back into iCloud. If none of these work, contact us at support@favsaround.app.

Privacy & Data

No. FavsAround only accesses your location while the app is open to find nearby places. Your location is never stored, tracked over time, or sent to our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
All your data is stored locally on your device. To delete it, simply delete the FavsAround app from your iPhone or iPad. If you use iCloud sync, you can also remove the app's iCloud data from Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

Troubleshooting

Check the following: (1) Make sure location access is set to "While Using the App" in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → FavsAround. (2) Confirm you have at least one favorite added. (3) Try adjusting the search radius — your favorites may not have locations within the current range. (4) Check your internet connection, as FavsAround uses Apple Maps to search for places.
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → FavsAround and change the setting to "While Using the App." Then reopen FavsAround and try again.
Try these steps: (1) Force-close and reopen the app. (2) Restart your device. (3) Check for an app update in the App Store. If the problem continues, please email us at support@favsaround.app with a description of what happened — we'll look into it right away.
Partially. Previous search results are cached so you can view them without an internet connection. However, to search for new nearby locations, an internet connection is required since FavsAround queries Apple's MapKit servers.
